Meet Codi Vierra
Codi Vierra is a political strategist, public affairs professional, and community engagement specialist with more than a decade of experience helping organizations navigate complex public issues, build stakeholder support, and achieve meaningful outcomes.
Her work spans government, campaigns, advocacy, and organizational leadership, providing a unique understanding of how policy decisions are made, how communities engage with public processes, and how organizations can effectively advance their goals.
A graduate of the University of California, San Diego, Codi earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with minors in Business and Urban Studies & Planning. While at UC San Diego, she led large-scale civic engagement initiatives, registering thousands of student voters and building partnerships across campus and the broader community.
Throughout her career, Codi has served in senior roles in senior roles in government, Democratic organizations, and political campaigns. She previously served as Deputy Chief of Staff in the Office of San Diego City Councilmember Stephen Whitburn, where she helped manage policy development, stakeholder engagement, public communications, and constituent services on issues ranging from housing and homelessness to infrastructure and quality-of-life concerns.
Codi also served as a Field Representative for Congressman Scott Peters, where she worked closely with local governments, community organizations, businesses, and residents throughout San Diego County. In addition, she has held leadership roles on congressional, state, and local campaigns, providing strategic guidance on political outreach, coalition building, field operations, and community engagement.
Beyond her professional work, Codi has spent years supporting civic and community organizations. She has served in leadership positions with both the San Diego County Young Democrats and California Young Democrats, helping organizations strengthen membership, develop future leaders, and build effective advocacy and engagement programs.
Today, Codi works with campaigns, nonprofits, community organizations, public agencies, and advocacy efforts seeking practical, results-oriented strategies. Her approach is grounded in thoughtful relationship-building, clear communication, and a deep understanding of how to engage stakeholders, navigate public processes, and move projects forward.
